 I am a Yorkshire family photographer and have a real passion for documenting real, honest photographs of you & your family leaving true memories, capturing the essence of you. The relationships, snuggles, playing together, the laughter and the tiny moments that happen everyday. These moments pass by quickly so if you want to press pause on life to be able to freeze this special time you have come to the right place. 

My style is very relaxed. I can either come to your home or a location of your choice. I start by getting to know you & your family by chatting & playing games until everyone feels comfortable & relaxed.

Once everyone is relaxed I will guide you in the right direction to create family photos, but mainly I focus on capturing your family as themselves playing, talking, laughing, teasing & the relationships between each family member.

I get so much pleasure in creating memories that tell the story of YOUR family.

It is my job to document you & your family just as they are, so just relax and trust in me to bring out your inner selves and photograph you all at your very best.

I will run through location ideas, styling and any ideas you have before your session so you are totally ready for a fun and memorable experience. Feel free to get in touch wth me any time if you have any questions regarding your shoot.

Light, light, light. The time of day you book your photo shot makes a HUGE difference in the results you get. In the summer I always recommend shoots either early morning or later in the afternoon/ early evening. In the winter we can’t be as flexible and just need to grab the light we can but winter light can be magical all day. 

We will meet at the location and just relax and enjoy the environment. Let the children run about whilst I capture them enjoying themselves and being their true selves. Once everyone has relaxed we can have more shots where the whole family is together. I will direct you then. Remember as much as you can to just be you and interact with each other in all the ways you would do if I wasn’t there. Grab the children to swing them around, play, run about, or simply quietly sit together chatting. The most important thing is not to feel forced.

We are SO lucky in Yorkshire. There are so many beautiful locations on our doorstep- the problem is choosing one!

The location you choose can be somewhere you love, a place that has a lot of memories for your family, somewhere the little ones will be entertained, your home (inside or out) or somewhere with a real taste of Yorkshire.

I charge 45p per miles outside a 20 mile radius of Harrogate.

If the location you choose requires payment for entry I ask that you cover the payment for myself and all members of your family.  If you would like some location suggestions please let me know and I would be happy to guide you.

The week before your session I will be in touch to discuss locations and address any questions you may have.

I always find it helps if parents have chatted to their children about meeting me & what will happen at the shoot, so the children know what to expect. Make it sound fun- explain that we can play games together and spend the time together having lots of fun! This way they look forward to the photo shoot.

If you have babies or toddlers then book your session with the best time of day for them in mind. Tired toddlers who need a nap never get the best results 🙂 I can fit in to what ever time suits you as a family.

I will edit all of your beautiful images and send you over a private link to your online gallery within 2 weeks. You then use that gallery to select your favourite photographs included within the package you have chosen. I then make them available for you to download in high resolution with print release.

If there are more images you love, you can use my shop to buy more at £5 per image or I can send you a quote to purchase them all. Prints can also be purchased in my online shop. Please ask for framing and wall art services and qoutes.
